“Maybe I’m afraid of losing it all at once, Venice, if I talk about it”
Italo Calvino, The invisible cities
Through a sensory journey with taste as the protagonist , where tradition and avant-garde, water and
earth materials merge and compare with contributions from distant worlds, Wistèria Restaurant tells
the story of today’s Venice, not to lose it in words but to remember it with emotions.
This is Venice that we tell you about today.
This is the name of the Wistèria menu, inspired by the Serendipity philosophy, where nothing happens by chance. A dynamic research path, between flavors and materials that seem so distant that they instead create new unexpected harmonies.
Wistèria’s cuisine begins with a careful search for the finest seasonal ingredients. We prioritize local producers who champion environmental sustainability, always honoring Venice’s historic ties to the Orient.
Friends and partners since the 90s, they’ve explored various forms of the restaurant industry, both together and individually. Reuniting in 2019, they’ve truly reached for the stars.
A garden in the shade of a wisteria vine, an indoor room, a quiet waterfront, and a canal away from the busy streets. A secret place in the heart of Venice, just a short walk from Titian’s masterpiece at the Basilica dei Frari and Tintoretto’s work at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. It’s also only 5 minutes from Piazzale Roma and the “San Tomà” vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal.
